I love training at CrossFit D-Day. It's such a great crew of people to hang out with! The coaches are fantastic, pushing us to do our best, but with a great focus on technique to keep us safe. I look forward to every session!

D-Day is such a great place. The coaches love helping you go above and beyond what you think you can achieve. Grunta is super knowledgeable and able to keep me moving, even with an MS diagnosis in 2023 I've only got stronger and fitter with D-Day's care. The other members are so welcoming and like one big cheer squad for each other. I've made some of my best friends at D-Day and now I get to hang out with them daily while getting stronger, learning new skills, and overall staying healthy for all life's challenges.

I can't ever imagine going to another kind of workout gym. CrossFit keeps me coming back, Grant challenges me and never lets me slack off, and I need that. Big thanks to all the other coaches for getting me through the workouts. Always feels great when you are done.

I’ve been going to D-Day for about 4 years & since being coached by Grunta I’ve gotten stronger, faster & increased my skill set. I love the diversity in CrossFit workouts & I look forward to the challenge he has in store for us each session.

CrossFit D-Day is the best gym I have ever stepped foot into, and I will happily tell you why! When I walked into D-Day I had never done CrossFit and I went in completely blind. The first week was HARD. I used muscles that had never been used before, I was sore in places I’d never been sore in before BUT after that week I was hooked. I have made lifelong friendships from all walks of life, get pushed by athletes double my age and get supported by all. The D-Day environment is enriching and inspiring.
Now to Pip, Grunta and Utah! The triple threat, dream team. These are people that want to see you succeed inside and outside of the gym. I am a competitive softball player and was only playing for Canterbury and had never played for New Zealand. In 2024 I got named in a trial squad for the New Zealand women’s team and my gym life changed forever.
Grunta pushed me to limits I’d never been pushed before, encouraged me, dished out a fair share of tough love and from that, I got named in the New Zealand women’s team to travel to Canada. Not to mention I had reached a whole new level of physical fitness. My mind and body were in its peak and that is thanks to D-Day.
Long story long haha, every day that I get to step into D-Day is a good day. It’s one day or day one and I’m super glad I did choose day one. I hope you do too!!

I came to CrossFit D-Day to keep working on my strength and fitness and develop my skills for the sport. Little did I know I'd get a lot more. A community that is more than gym buddies, we're whānau. Grunta and Pip always over deliver in terms of their investment in all of us both as athletes/gym members but as people. Grunta keeps us accountable, brings out the best in us and builds our skills, confidence and comfort zones. I love it!

I joined only a few months ago with absolutely no CrossFit experience and it has been one of the best decisions I have made. I have become stronger physically and mentally. The coaches are so supportive, encouraging and knowledgeable. They take the time to help with everything and push you to realise you're capable of more than you think. No matter your ability you feel welcomed and supported every step of the way. D-Day has helped me gain confidence, strength and a sense of achievement.

Having never set foot in any type of gym in my life, I have loved CrossFit D-Day. It could have been an intimidating experience was nothing of the sort. Turning 60 this year, I have never felt fitter or stronger. Everyone, no matter your age or ability is welcome and encouraged here.
